The Producer Disappears

Rubin's leverage in the room comes from the smallest visible footprint — a hundred notes knowing only five will land, a unanimity rule, NVC as a production tool. And persistent recommendation is not the opposite of disappearance — it's the second move. Run-DMC refused to record Walk This Way; Russell Simmons told them to do it anyway.

Audience Comes Last

The Body Is The Instrument

The body is the receiver the antenna is attached to. Maffetone reset the metabolism, animal protein restored him after twenty-two years vegan, sauna and cold cycle the nervous system. Knowing Less Wins

The new thing usually gets made by the person who doesn't know how it's supposed to be made. Hip-hop the wrong way. Slayer recorded as speed metal, not Zeppelin metal. AlphaGo playing a move no grandmaster would consider. The same conviction now drives how Rubin frames AI.
